Reverie
Masks We Wear
A beautiful woman, lost in thought. Eyes closed, she drifts somewhere far from the room, yet she still adorns herself. Her face is dressed in facets of gold, cobalt and violet, worn like jewels or war paint, as if beauty alone were never quite enough. This is the mask we wear when we slip away inside ourselves: soft, distant and dreaming, but never undecorated.
Four-colour enamels are screen printed and layered across two sheets of glass. The depth between the layers gives the facets a gentle dimensionality that shifts as light moves through them. The piece is set in a hardwood frame, ready to hang on a wall or rest on a shelf.
Details: Four-colour enamel screenprint on two layers of glass, hardwood frame. Glass size 22 x 16 cm (8.7 x 6.3 in). Handmade by the artist.
