Masks We Wear

A beautiful woman, calm and unhurried. Where Serenity looks inward, she turns her face toward the light, wearing cobalt blue and warm amber in sharp, crystalline planes across her brow, cheek and jaw. Still she adorns herself, as if the quiet were something to be dressed up for. This is the mask we wear when we feel at ease: open, steady and in no hurry to be anywhere else.

Four-colour enamels are screen printed and layered across two sheets of glass. The depth between the layers gives the facets a gentle dimensionality that shifts as light moves through them. The glass stands on a hardwood plinth, ready to display on a shelf, mantel or sideboard.
