Tranquility
Masks We Wear
A beautiful man, calm and unhurried. Stubble roughens his jaw, yet he still adorns himself, wearing cobalt blue and warm amber in sharp, crystalline planes across his brow, cheek and chin. Where Serenity looks inward, he turns his face toward the light. The roughness only sharpens the beauty, and the decoration is a quiet pride, a way of dressing the calm he has earned. This is the mask we wear when we are at ease: open, assured and in no hurry to be anywhere else.
Four-colour enamels are screen printed and layered across two sheets of glass. The depth between the layers gives the facets a gentle dimensionality that shifts as light moves through them. The glass stands on a hardwood plinth, ready to display on a shelf, mantel or sideboard.
