Wonder
Masks We Wear
A young girl, eyes wide open, looking up in awe. Deep cobalt, green and gold wash across her face, and one bright blue eye catches the light. She sees how big the world is and is not afraid of it. There is hope in her gaze, and she is content with where she stands. This is the mask we wear when we are open to wonder: curious, hopeful and at peace with our place in the world.
Four-colour enamels are screen printed and layered across two sheets of glass. The depth between the layers gives the colours a quiet luminosity that shifts as light moves through them. The glass stands on a hardwood plinth, ready to display on a shelf, mantel or sideboard.
